BELUCH NAMED NECC PLAYER OF THE YEAR, CIARLEGLIO TABBED AS TOP COACH

WESTON, Mass. – For the second consecutive season, Regis College's Michael Beluch (Lynn, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year in a vote by the conference coaches. Beluch was joined on the All-NECC First Team by Andy White (Bozeman, Mont.) and Jeff Parrish (Framingham, Mass.). Parrish was also named to the All-NECC Honorable Mention team in singles play.

Head coach John Ciarleglio was named the NECC Coach of the Year after leading the Pride to a perfect 10-0 mark in the NECC regular season and helping the Pride capture its first NECC Championship this past Saturday.

Beluch went a perfect 10-0 at the No. 1 singles position this season and did not drop a single set during the year. Last year's NECC Rookie of the Year carried his strong play into the postseason where he went a perfect 2-0 at the top singles spot during NECC postseason play. Beluch was also named to the NECC All-Tournament Team in singles play.

Beluch and Jeff Parrish were named to the All-NECC First Team in doubles play as the duo went 9-1 during the regular season at the top doubles position.

Joining Beluch and Parish on the first team is junior teammate Andy White. White, who earned first team honors for the second straight year, went 7-3 this season playing No. 2 and No. 3 singles for the Pride. White teamed with Austin Nace (Sarasota, Fla.) to go 9-0 at No. 2 doubles and the duo were also named to the NECC All-Tournament doubles team.

Jeff Parrish earned his second-straight All-NECC Honorable Mention selection after going 6-4 in singles play across No. 2 and No. 3 singles this season.
