PRIDE FINISHES SEASON AT NEISDA CHAMPIONSHIPS
WESTON, Mass.-The Regis College men’s and women’s swimming teams competed in the final day of the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships on Sunday. The men’s squad finished 5th out of 13 teams and tallied a final total of 361 points on the three day meet. The women’s team ended competition by tallying 158 points and tied Gordon College for 17th place in the 22-team meet.
Alex Caliendo (Windsor, Conn.) took down the Regis school record in the 200-yard butterfly. Fellow teammate Djorde Mandic (Portland, Maine.) swam to a time of 57.37s to break the school record in the 100-yard IM. The men’s team ended the meet on a high note with Earl, Mandic, and Graf teaming up with teammate Nick Yerzyk (West Hills, Calif.) to compete in the 400-yard relay. The squad compiled a 4th place finish by notching a time of 3:16.57s.
