PRIDE FINISHES AT NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS
Weston, Mass.—The Regis College swimming team competed Saturday (Feb. 19) at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships. The Pride had 12 swimmers compete in their respective categories, seven for the men and five for the women.

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College swimming and diving team will be competing this weekend, Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 18-19) at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships. A total of 12 swimmers will be competing for the Pride, with seven for the men and five for the women.

PRIDE PLACES 12 SWIMMERS TO COMPETE AT NEISDA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Weston, Mass.—The Regis College swimming team will travel to White River Junction, Vermont to compete in the New England Intercollegiate Swimming Association and Diving Championships Saturday (Feb. 12) and Friday (Feb. 18). The Pride will have a combined 12 swimmers competing at the championship event. Six men’s swimmers and five women’s swimmers will be contending for the Pride.

YERZYK SETS NEW TEAM RECORD IN PRIDE WIN OVER ELMS
Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men’s swimming team defeated Elms College Saturday (Jan. 29) by the score of 122-95. This was the third win in a row for the Pride who move to 7-5 on the season. The Visiting Blazers fall to 3-5 on the season.

MANDIC, YERZYK, AND MCGOVERN LEAD PRIDE IN WIN OVER CHARGERS
Weston, Mass—The Regis College men and women’s swimming and diving teams competed this past weekend against Colby-Sawyer College. Both squads were successful in defeating the visiting Chargers. The men defeated the Chargers by the score of 133-105, while the women were victorious by tallying a score of 124-122. The men improve their record to 6-5 and the women improve overall on the season to 3-9.

MEN'S SWIMMING RANKS FOURTH MOST IMPROVED TEAM IN COUNTRY BY AVIDASPORTS.COM
WESTON, Mass.—Regis College men’s swimming and diving was named the fourth most improved team in the country Thursday. Avidasports.com released its list of schools from all three divisions in the three different categories, best overall, performance, and improvement.

MANDIC, MCGOVERN, AND YERZYK TAKE FIRST PLACE FINISH FOR PRIDE
Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men’s and women’s swimming team hosted Mount Saint Mary College this past weekend. Both squads performed well and defeated the visiting Knights from Mount Saint Mary College. The men won by a score 102-70, and the women won by the score of 102-97.

ESTRADA PERFORMS WELL AT NORWICH
Weston, Mass.—The Regis College women’s and men’s swimming teams traveled to Norwich University this past weekend. Both teams competed at the event where they faced Norwich and Bentley.

CALIENDO SETS SCHOOL RECORD IN 200-YARD FLY AT TCCC INVITE
WESTON, Mass.--Freshman Alex Caliendo (Windsor, Conn.) set a school record in the 200-yard fly (2:29.88) Saturday in The Commonwealth Coast Conference Invitational. Caliendo was part of a men’s swimming team that took second overall with a score of 295. Christina Estrada (Bellingham, Mass./Blackstone Valley Tech) earned second place in the 200-freestyle.

ESTRADA AND MANDIC BLAZE TIMES IN POOL AT TCCC INVITATIONAL
WESTON, Mass.—Sophomore Christina Estrada (Bellingham, Mass./Blackstone Valley) and freshman Djordie Mandic (Portland, Maine) each notched wins, or broke Regis College records in The Commonwealth Coast Conference Invitational Friday night. Estrada took first place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:39.42, giving Regis College 16 points for the top position. Mandic broke a school record with his 22.78 finishing time in the 50 freestyle.

WOMEN SWIM TO FIRST VICTORY VERSUS ST. JOSEPH'S
WESTON, Mass.—The Regis College Women’s Swimming team captured its first win of the season versus St. Joseph’s of Maine Saturday, defeating the Monks 117-108. The Pride had six first place victories as a team, including individual performances. The men’s swimming team improved to 4-2 after defeating St. Joe’s 104-70. Sophomore Nick Yerzyk set a record time in the 50-yard backstroke.

WESTON, Mass.—Regis College men’s swimming carried its three-meet winning streak into a tough pool of Post University swimmers Friday. The Eagles from Post would not allow Regis College to extend that streak to four wins, defeating the Pride 125-89.

MEN CAPTURE THIRD WIN OF SEASON, WOMEN'S TEAM NIP AT THE HEELS OF GORDON
WESTON, Mass.—Regis College men’s swimming and diving captured its third win of the 2010 season by defeating Gordon College 133-93 Saturday afternoon. The Regis College women’s team was also in competition with the Gordon Fighting Scots, but lost its meet 127-113.

REGIS COLLEGE SWIMMERS TO PARTICIPATE IN HOUR OF POWER RELAY FOR CANCER RESEARCH ON (NOV.9)
Weston, Mass.--It is nearly impossible to find anyone whose life has not been touched by cancer, whether it is through a friend, family member, or even a teammate. The swimmers at Regis College have found one more way to fight back: the fifth annual Ted Mullin “Leave it in the Pool” Hour of Power Relay for Pediatric Sarcoma Research, sponsored by the Carleton College swimming and diving teams, set for Tuesday (Nov. 9.)

MEN'S SWIMMING WON ITS SECOND STRAIGHT MEET OF THE SEASON
WESTON, Mass.—The Regis College Men’s Swimming and Diving program won its second straight meet with a victory over University of New England Saturday afternoon capturing the meet 137-93. With a quick turnaround from their Friday night win, the Pride advances to 2-1 on the season.

SWIMMING AND DIVING WINS FIRST HOME MEET
WESTON, MASS. - The Regis College Men’s Swimming and Diving program opened the home portion of the 2010-11 season with a 153-113 victory over Bridgewater State. The win evens the Regis record to 1-1 thus far, the Bridgewater men losing its season opener.

MANDIC SETS SCHOOL RECORD IN PRIDES FIRST MEET
Weston, Mass.---The Regis College men’s swimming and diving team had a record-breaking day in their season opener Saturday (Oct. 23) against Umass Dartmouth. Freshman Djordje Mandic (Portland, Maine) broke the school record in the 200-yard freestyle, winning the event with a time of (1:55.78). Mandic went on to capture a second place finish in the 50-yard freestyle and a third place finish in the 100-yard freestyle. This impressive performance was not enough for the Pride who fell to the Corsairs by the score of 181-89.
