BLAZERS TOO MUCH FOR REGIS

Weston, Mass.-Regis College (0-5, 0-1) lost in men's soccer to Elms College (3-2, 1-2 NECC) 8-2 Tuesday. The Blazers first goal would come from Sam Senecal (Chicopee, Mass.) at 29:55. Assisting Senecal would be Nick Espinola (Derry, NH).

Senecal finished with three assists, and three shots on goal for the night. Senior Brian Murca (Chicopee, Mass.) led all players in shots on goal with nine total. Murca would also score two goals for the Blazers, both unassisted.

After scoring, Murca would later assist Justin Pearson to score (Torrington, CT) at 47:43. As a team, Elms took a total of 38 shots (including on goal), with the Pride's Andrew LaMacchia (Lynn, Mass.) saving 20 goals.

Four different players would score for the Blazers, as freshman Wade Thongsythavong (Boston, Mass.) would be Regis's only scorer. Thongsythavong would score both with no assists.

Playing a man down, Regis would have half its player's take at least one shot on goal for the night. Thongsythavong led the charge with five shots. LaMacchia played a solid game, saving most shots taken when given defensive help.

Regis College returns to the pitch Saturday, Sept. 20, to face The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Wentworth Institute of Technology. That game is set to start at 2:30 pm.
