Regis College men’s lacrosse had its first varsity season in 2009-10, after having been a club team.
The team competed in an independent schedule in 2011 before joining the Pilgrim Lacrosse League in 2012. In 2013, the team also joined the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) and played a dual-league schedule. In 2014, under head coach Josh Blumenthal, the program participated in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament, marking the program's first postseason bid.
Randy Fraser took over the program in 2016 and had immediate success. His squad's 13-4 mark was the best record in program history and he led the Pride to their first ever NECC Championship.
