Neal shot 55 percent (6-of-11) from the field, and 88 percent (7-of-8) from the free throw line. As a team, Regis College (3-1) would have three players score in double digits. Junior James Cooper (Philadelphia, PA) would have the only double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Colin London (Worcester, Mass.) led Fitchburg State College (2-1) with 16 points. The Falcons season point leader, Brian Torres (North Dighton, Mass.), was held to 9 points by the Pride defense. Torres is averaging 21.3 points per game this season.
The two teams stayed fairly close throughout the game. Preparing to enter intermission, the Pride led by only three points.
Foul trouble found itself to be the Falcon's downfall in the second half. Elliot Knower (Templeton, Mass.) would foul out in the second half, but not until contributing 8 points, with 12 rebounds.
Brian Skiffington (North Adams, Mass.) would also leave the game with five fouls. As a team, Regis connected on 78 percent of its free throws (28-of-36).
Fitchburg State College takes to the hardwood Nov. 25 at 7:30 pm to face UMass.-Boston. Regis College will take on Newbury College Dec. 2 at 7 pm.
