HAGER ANNOUNCES CARAVOULIAS AND THOMPSON AS ASSISTANT COACHES
Weston, Mass.-Regis College Men's Basketball coach Nathan Hager announced the addition of Brad Caravoulias and David Thompson as assistant coaches to the men's basketball program.
Both come with playing experience from Lasell and Juniata respectively. Caravoulias is a 2009 graduate of Lasell College where he earned his bachelor's in sport management.
He will be involved in all aspects of the coaching duties. Primarily serving as assistant in player development at various positions, other assignments include practice organization, arranging team travel, and scouting.
Thompson joins the staff having served as a four-year athlete for the Eagles basketball team. In that time Thompson was team captain during his junior and senior years.
With his primary responsibilities in recruiting, Thompson will also be charged with practice organization, scheduling, and skill position development. While at Juniata, Thompson completed his bachelor's in business management in 2009.
Caravoulias and Thompson will join second-year assistant coaches Dennis Leddy and Nick Smith.
Men's basketball begins its season October 15, with its first game versus Lesley University on November 16 at 7:30 pm. That game will be held in the Regis College Athletic Facility, also known as "The Den".
