Megan Correia joined the program in August 2010 as assistant coach for both field hockey and softball.  Correia, a 2009 graduate of Long Island Univ-CW Post, earned her Bachelor of Science in Education while a four-year softball starter for the Pioneers at third base. 

As the assistant, Correia will be responsible for player development in all facets of each sport, practice planning, scheduling, and skills instruction. She will also be responsible for recruiting and academic progress monitoring for athletes on both teams.

Correia was captain of the softball team during her junior and senior years at Post, received Rookie of the Week honors, 2006 all tournament honors, and earned a spot on the 2007 ECC All Conference Team.    

Correia also brings experience in championship games having participated in the softball DIV II Northeast Regional’s all four years, and the NCAA Div II Softball College World Series her sophomore and junior years. 

“Although not having played field hockey herself, Coach Correia, brings a wealth of knowledge of the game to the program.  Her winning attitude and championship experience will be beneficial to the programs growing success!  I am so very proud to have her apart of both programs with the PRIDE,” said Head Coach Lisa LeVierge.
