PRIDE PLACE EIGHT ON NECC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS
WESTON, Mass. – Regis College placed eight members of its winter and spring athletics teams on the New England Collegiate Conference's Academic All-Conference teams, it was announced. To be eligible for the NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a sophomore or higher in class standings.
Regis had three members of its women's basketball team in Stefanie Wozmak (Auburn, N.H.), Stephanie Crawford (Rockland, Mass.) and Christina Pierre-Louis (Randolph, Mass.) placed on the team, while Ryan Chambers (Abington, Mass.) was one of four member of the men's basketball All-Academic Team.
Mouhamed Diallo (Weston, Mass.) and Jeffrie Parrish (Framingham, Mass.) were named to the men's tennis All-Academic team. Softball had two members of its squad in Kara Donovan (Woburn, Mass.) and Sarah Porteus (South Wellfleet, Mass.) named to the Academic All-Conference teams.
