Women's Track & Field
Sophomore, Pole Vault
Week of 5/7/12
Sophomore pole-vaulter Tori Rapsis (Nashua, N.H.) has been named this week's Regis College Student-Athlete of the Week after participating in her fourth-straight Division III New England Track & Field Championships this past weekend at MIT. Rapsis had a record setting weekend for the Pride.
Qualifying for the meet with a performance of 9'6 1/4" (the current school record), Rapsis proceeded to break her record twice, clearing heights of 9'8" and then 10'2". The final leap pushed her past the 10' barrier for the first time, and elevates her standing within the New England Region. Having entered college with a high school best of 9'9", Rapsis can now take home a new personal best in addition to the meet accolades.
